About Microsoft TEALS
Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) is a Microsoft Philanthropies program that believes all students should have equitable access to inclusive computer science education, creating a pathway to economic opportunity. The program builds sustainable computer science programs in schools, with a focus on serving students excluded from learning CS because of race, gender, or geography. TEALS helps classroom teachers learn to teach computer science on their own by pairing them with industry volunteers and proven curricula. Since its inception in 2009, over 100,000 high school students have received CS education through TEALS.

Hear From Our Alumni
DAVID AWOGBEMILA
Software Engineering Intern, Google
Howard University
"The focus on hands-on activities and real-life scenarios made for an awesome learning experience. I appreciated how the course was structured in a way that reflected the nature of Cybersecurity."
ANGELA MEI LI
Engineer, LG Electronics
CUNY Baruch College
"I’ve always been fascinated with the hackers' world. It was lucky of me, against many other applicants, to be accepted into this course. Although it could be a bit challenging without prior basic knowledge, the lectures are quite informative. Every week we get to explore new topics and hacking concepts with practice. I believe some problems are close simulations of real-world scenarios. To anyone pursuing a career path in Cybersecurity, this course truly aligns with your passion."
ZAVIER BEROLO
Software Engineer Program Intern, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co
CUNY Baruch College
"For my cohort specifically, I am very happy that I am learning essentially first-hand what "hacking" really is including cybersecurity fundamentals. Also, the teachers have been amazing and have gone the extra-mile to help me and the other classmates countless amounts of times already."
ABIGAIL LEE
Morgan State University
“CodePath's cybersecurity program was a life changing opportunity for me. I learned so much that would benefit me individually and any organization I become a part of. The weekly classes, labs, and individual/group projects made this experience hands-on and so much fun. The knowledge I gained from this class landed me a Summer 2023 internship, what more could I have asked for?”
Hear From Our Partners
DR. LEGAND BURGE
Professor and Executive Director Howard West - Google Tech Exchange
Howard University
"Most HBCU CS Chairs are under-resourced. Even if we had the money, there just aren't enough CS professors. CodePath allows us to connect our students directly to what's being taught in the industry plus increase the number and quality of courses taught for free."
BARUCH SCHIEBER, PH.D.
Professor and Chair, Department of Computer Science, New Jersey Institute of Technology
“CodePath is leveling the playing field. We are not one of the top 10 universities, but with CodePath we can give our students similar opportunities. With CodePath our students are introduced to the state of the art tools that are used in the industry, which may not be covered in other courses.”
ELI ARMSTRONG
Instructor, College of Southern Nevada
“CodePath is filling the gap between school work and the real world. CodePath helps students practice things like teamwork and using Git resources that would be considered dishonest in the academic setting. They’re giving students a real-world technical experience and proof that you actually know how to do the job.”
