Answers to your questions on the Emerging Engineers Summit 2024, including tickets, eligibility and how to make the most of your time at the event.

  • What is EES?

EES, the CodePath Emerging Engineers Summit, is a unique virtual experience with 3 days of inspiring speakers, company-led skills workshops, identity-based discussions and networking.

Tickets are available on a first come first served basis. Anyone who completed a CodePath course between 2021 and 2024 (or who is on track to complete a course in Fall 2024) is eligible to attend.

  • When is EES? What are the key dates and deadlines?

Student and alumni ticketing will open June 30th 2024, and close by September 20th 2024 or when capacity is reached.

Attendees will be invited to join the event platform, Airmeet, in mid September. A special preview event will be held from September 16th.

    EES will be held October 1st - 3rd 2024.

  • Where is EES held?

The event will be entirely virtual and hosted on AirMeet. Ticket holders will be able to start exploring the platform from mid September.

  • How can I get a ticket? What does it cost?

Ticket invitations will be sent by email to all eligible* students and alumni, beginning June 30th 2024. You can also apply directly from the EES landing page; your application will only be accepted if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Tickets are available at no cost to CodePath course completers. Numbers are limited, with spaces allocated on a first come, first served basis.

*See section below for further detail on eligibility to attend

  • I applied for a ticket. Why don't I have a confirmation email?

Every ticket application is manually reviewed to see if you meet eligibility requirements. You should receive an email update within 2 business days. If you have not received an email, you may email ees@codepath.org.

We are processing very high numbers of applications. Please be patient!

  • How can I add all EES events to my calendar?

If you have a confirmed ticket, you can add a calendar reminder for all EES events with this link.

(Note, these calendar holds do not provide access to the sessions. Access to EES is via AirMeet. You will be sent an unique access code prior to EES.)

  • How do I see the sessions and companies at EES?

All updates and information will be available on the EES Landing Page when confirmed. From mid September, attendees will be able to review the full schedule (and bookmark individual sessions) on the Airmeet EES platform.

  • What is the time commitment to attend EES? I don't have time to attend for 3 days.

There is no required time commitment to attend EES! The Summit will involve many varied sessions, and we encourage you to attend as many that work for your schedule and interests.

At a minimum, we would love every student to take part in 2 breakout sessions and attend the keynote speeches.

  • Can I attend more than one Emerging Engineers Summit?

You can attend the Emerging Engineers Summit any year you are eligible! The event takes place annually in the fall.

  • Is there an EES Career Fair this year?

As part of the 2024 expansion of EES, we are excited to launch a new offering to connect CodePath course completers with open opportunities at CodePath partner companies. This will replace the EES Career Fair, and allow us to serve more students, with fewer restrictions.

  • Will sessions be recorded?

Yes. All sessions will be recorded and available to view after the Summit.

You can view recordings from EES 2023 here.

  • How can I engage with companies and recruiters at EES?

This is what EES is all about!
    • Breakout sessions: Recruiters and company representatives will be interacting with students at all sessions. Come prepared with questions!
    • Company booths: Visiting company booths allows you to connect directly with recruiters, share your information and resume, and ask about specific roles. Booths will be hosted by 20+ companies (you can see the names in the pinned FAQs). Drop by to chat during the networking sessions, or click "I'm interested" to share your info at any time.
    • Keynote Speeches and Voices Seminars: Watch out for the Resume Sharing link in the feed, when you attend these sessions live. We're so excited to hear from our speakers!
    • Open networking sessions: These are your chances to build community, and expand your network, with fellow students, coaches and company partners.
    • Company Career Pages: For companies without booths, click on their logos to connect directly with their careers pages and find more info on open roles.

  • What should I do to prepare, and to make the most out of EES?

Great question! Check out our full EES guide on the CareerKit out the Career Kit for tips and advice on building an elevator pitch, updating your resume, ensuring you give a great impression at sessions and booths, and following up after the event.

We also recommend attending the EES:Ready event on September 17!

>>> EES:Ready Events

  • What are EES:Ready events?

EES:Ready is our prep event series to help you make the most out of attending the main Emerging Engineers Summit.

The EES:Ready Virtual event, will take place on September 17, 1:00-2:00PM PT. Anyone with a confirmed EES ticket is eligible to attend.

EES:Ready Virtual will be your first opportunity to explore the EES 2024 platform, set up your profile, review the schedule and bookmark sessions, and start to form connections in the networking lounges.

On the main stage, we’ll be hosting an exclusive session with Microsoft, providing an inside look at their hiring and opportunities for 2025.

  • What if I can't attend EES:Ready?

Don't panic! You will be able to access and explore the platform at any time between EES:Ready (September 17) and the main Summit (October 1). The Microsoft session will also be recorded.

EES:Ready is an optional benefit to help you get the most out of the main Emerging Engineers Summit. Non-attendance will have no impact on your access to other sessions.

  • How can I attend an in-person EES:Ready event?

Just like the virtual event, in-person EES:Ready events are 1-2 hour group sessions to prep for the main Summit.

In 2024, these events were held in Atlanta and Miami. Invitations were sent to registered EES attendees who indicated they lived in these areas and would be interested in attending an in-person meeting.

We hope to expand EES:Ready in-person events to more cities in 2025.

>>> Using AirMeet

  • What is AirMeet?
